Getting a velvet mule deer has been a childhood dream of mine, up until a few years ago, that wasn't possible in South Dakota until season dates were changed for residents to Sept 1. Giving archery hunters a small winder of opportunity to make it happen. We've had close calls the past several years, but with no success until all the velvet was stripped. This film we leave in much of the stalk once we get into 15-20 yards of the buck to give you a real feel of the speed and patience it takes when getting in close. We only cut out about 10-15 minutes of it. We got within 4 yards of the buck! Enjoy the film!

New Mexico is one of my favorite places! Matthew and I swing down to meet up with Justin Medina to hit the elk woods for a week and try to go 3 for 3 on our elk tags in this unit over the years! We didn't even realize the last day of our hunt was Friday the 13th! Enjoy the fun film!

This film covers a 4 day span during the November in 2018. My brother Matthew, who normally is our field producer was gone for the first 3 days, but returned on day 4 and brought some great luck with him! My co-host Matt McCranie hunted with me the first 3 days and we turned up two of the biggest mule deer we have ever seen. We ended up passing several deer over the first 3 days just hoping to get a chance at one of the big ones! Enjoy this special story, of a special buck!
